If you have a family member with a physical or mental impairment who is dependent on you for their care and support, you may be eligible for the Caregiver Credit.
An individual is considered to be dependent on you if you regularly and consistently provide some of the basic necessities of life for them, such as food, shelter and clothing. The amount you can claim will depend on your specific circumstances, your relationship with the individual who has the impairment, as well as the income of that individual.
