This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience and comprehensive training while contributing to meaningful projects for our clients. At Avail, you'll receive the support and resources needed to excel in your accounting career and pursue your CPA designation.

We offer both 4-month and 8-month co-op terms, with start date available in January, May, and September 2025.

During your Co-op term with Avail CPA, you will

  • Work closely with a dedicated coach to guide you in your professional development and individual career growth.
  • Gain proficiency in completing compilation and review engagements for privately held companies and Not-for-Profit organizations across various industries.
  • Learn to prepare corporate, personal, and other tax returns.
  • Work directly with clients, including directors and shareholders, to help develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Receive comprehensive training and support towards your academic and professional success.
  • Acquire valuable skills and experiences to help you reach your full career potential.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Is currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a concentration in accounting.
  • Is committed to achieving their Canadian CPA designation and is actively working towards completing the required CPA prerequisite courses at their post-secondary institution.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates exceptional time management and organizational abilities to effectively handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Takes a proactive approach to professional development, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Has a passion for delivering exceptional client service that exceeds expectations.
